Bollywood is touted to be as some big business in the industry, where the total earnings of the filmmakers highly depend on actors or actresses they roped in their respective movies. For the prosperous year of 2013, we take a look which B-Town beauties shined this year, with respect to their work and charisma towards fans.

Deepika Padukone

It's been a magnificent year for Deepika Padukone with four one after the other hits. Race 2 was her first film of the year and successfully became the first one to enter worldwide Bollywood's Rs 100 crore club in 2013. Her chemistry with ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' also took the box office by storm. Her next film 'Chennai Express' with Shah Rukh Khan had the actress playing the role of a south Indian girl and charmed everyone. And her last release of the year, 'Ram-Leela' opposite alleged beau Ranveer Singh sent temperatures soaring as fans thronged to watch their sizzling passionate chemistry onscreen.

Deepika Padukone

Expectations in 2014: Deepika is all geared up with Farah Khan's 'Happy New year' in which she is being paired again with Shah Rukh Khan, and then Homi Adajania's 'Finding Fanny' with Arjun Kapoor.

Priyanka Chopra

Despite of the loss of her father, the actress has shown spirit in work. Ignoring Zanjeer, she had only one hit film in 2013, which was the blockbuster 'Krrish 3'. Priyanka also climbed high with the success of her hit single 'Exotic'. She also sizzled in a special item number for 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela', which earned the actress much praise and admiration. Moreover, she also gave a leading voiceover in Hollywood animation film 'Planes' that added another remarkable feather on her cap.

Priyanka Chopra

Expectations in 2014: As far as films are concerned, year 2014 will probably be an eventful for Priyanka Chopra. She will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's promising biopic on Olympic bronze medalist Mary Kom, and also in Yash Raj Films' 'Gunday' with Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. Buzz is that Priyanka has also signed up for Zoya Akhtar's family drama.

Katrina Kaif

Katrina Kaif is only actress who had single release this year, which is Aamir Khan starrer Dhoom 3, but yet managed to make headlines. We witnessed some sizzling avatar and thrilling stunts in the YRF's film delivered by the actress. In addition, she was also in news this year more for her personal life. Her bikini-clad leaked pictures with rumoured beau Ranbir Kapoor in Spain grabbed a lot of attention.

Katrina Kaif

Expectations in 2014: Year 2014 looks hopeful with three films on the kitty bag - 'Bang Bang' opposite Hrithik Roshan, 'Jagga Jasoos' with Ranbir Kapoor and 'Phantom' with Saif Ali Khan.

Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut had quite mixed year. She first featured in Sanjay Gupta's multi-starrer 'Shootout at Wadala', with John Abraham, which was well received at the box office. Kangana was next featured in Rakesh Roshan's 'Krrish 3' as the sexy inhuman being Kaya, which had a huge collection. Her last release, 'Rajjo', in which she played a nautch girl, unfortunately opened terribly at the box office. Kangana has also been labeled a fashionista, thanks to her style statements and her love for experimentation.

Kangana Ranaut

Expectations in 2014: Nevertheless, things are sure to rise quite high in 2014, with strong women-oriented roles in films like 'Queen', 'Revolver Rani' and 'Ungli'. "I Love New Year', which was slated to release in 2013, has been pushed to 2014.

Sonakshi Sinha

Sonakshi Sinha has been on a roll this year with five releases in total - some hits and a few misses. Romantic period drama 'Lootera' brought a whole new side of Sonakshi, which was well received from both from critics and fans. Sonakshi then came in Milan Luthria's 'Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara', which was soon lost out at the box office. She was after that seen in two films - 'Boss' and 'Bullett Raja' - that didn't receive well at the box-office. But her last release 'R...Rajkumar' fared well at the box office, in spite of poor reviews.

Sonakshi Sinha

Expectations in 2014: She is all set for the official remake of south film 'Okkadu', Prabhu Dheva's 'Action Jackson' opposite Ajay Devgn, and A.R. Murugadoss' tentatively titled 'Holiday' opposite Akshay Kumar.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

The once Bollywood queen seems to have gone into a snooze. The actress had two poor releases in year 2013. The first one was political drama 'Satyagraha' that received little praise, but her next release was rom-com 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' and termed as a huge Box Office disaster.

Expectations in 2014: Kareena Kapoor Khan seems to be packed out for the year 2014 with films like 'Happy Ending' that stars her husband Saif Ali Khan, 'Gabbar' with Akshay Kumar, 'Shuddhi' opposite Hrithik Roshan, and 'Badtameez Dil' opposite serial-kisser Emraan Hashmi.

Shraddha Kapoor who had some unluckiness with films in the past, had a promising year with 2013. She features a female lead in a romantic musical drama 'Aashiqui 2'. The film was a huge hit at the box office. Shraddha's performance was well received with some praising that she is looking like an 'innocently beautiful' girl. She also played a supporting role in 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' which was also well received.

Expectations in 2014: She has a very wonderful year ahead with films like Ekta Kapoor's The Villain opposite Siddharth Malhotra, Vishal Bhardwaj's Haider opposite Shahid Kapoor.

Shraddha Kapoor

Huma Qureshi

Huma Qureshi had somewhat decent year at the Box office in 2013. Her first release, 'Ek Thi Daayan' received mixed reviews from critics, but her performance was well appreciated. Her second release was Anurag Kashyap's 'Shorts', which yet again received mixed reviews. However, her role as a R.A.W explosives expert in Nikhil Advani's 'D-Day' earned her an exceptional praise and acclaim.

Expectations in 2014: We will witness some good films for Huma in 2014, which will be Madhuri Dixit starrer 'Dedh Ishqiya', as experimental film 'X', and lastly an untitled Yash Raj Film.

Nargis Fakhri

Nargis Fakhri received compliments for her role as a British war correspondent in Shoojit Sircar's 'Madras Cafe' along with John Abraham. It is said that Nargis did extensive research for her role and her performance was widely loved. Her voice was also not dubbed in the film, which was done for the first time in her career. Nargis also made a special appearance in the item number 'Dhating Naach' in 'Phata Poster Nikhla Hero' in which she sizzled the dance floor.

Expecatuons in2014: In the following year, Nargis will be seen in 'Shaukeen' remake and David Dhawan's 'Main Tera Hero'.

Parineeti Chopra

The bubbly and vivacious Parineeti Chopra had just one release this year - Yash Raj Films' 'Shuddh Desi Romance'. She played the role of the rebellious and bold Gayatri, where she received positive reaction for her performance. The film was also well received and became a commercial success somewhat.

Expecations in 2014: Parineeti will be seen in a tomboyish avatar in 'Hassee Toh Phasee' opposite Siddharth Malhotra that is all set to release on February. She will also be seen in Shaad Ali's 'Kill Dil' which will star Ranveer Singh and Ali Zafar in leads.'
