Aamir Khan - As we mention the name of Mr. Perfectionist, we begin to recollect all those great films he has given us, along with his astounding performances in it. Also one remembers his meticulous nature, and above all, his contribution towards Hindi Cinema. Many of his ardent fans somewhere do have a small complaint with this ace actor of being very selective about his films.

After doing films like 'Yaadon Ki Baarat' & 'Madhosh' as a child actor, he experimented with films like 'Subha Subha' & 'Holi' (For FTII & Doordarshan), till his first big release 'Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak'. Since then, this actor has worked in around 40 films, which in comparison to his contemporaries are pretty less. However, just like every other actor even Aamir Khan was suppose to be a part of many more projects to which he was then replaced by some other actors. Thus, we decided to talk about the top 5 films where we could have seen Aamir Khan in it.

Aamir Khan

HUM AAP KE HAIN KAUN...!:

Even after the super success of 'Maine Pyar Kiya' starring Salman Khan in it, The Rajshri banners wanted Aamir Khan as Prem opposite Madhuri Dixit in their musical extravaganza - 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun...!.' Aamir being a realistic actor failed to understand the character of Prem in this film and didn't find the same much appealing, where as a result he rejected the film very soon. On the other hand, Salman Khan, who was apparently going through a worst phase of his career during that period, got a new life with this blockbuster hit.

Hum Aapke Hain KaunOMKARA:

Aamir Khan and Vishal Bharadwaj were doing a film - 'Mr Shah and Mrs Khanna' - along with Kareena Kapoor in it, but due to some differences between the actor and the director, the film got shelved. At that time, Aamir inspired Vishal to make a film based on Shakespeare's 'Othello'. Aamir was fascinated by the negative character in that Shakespeare's play and thus wanted to do that particular role in the film 'Omkara'. However as soon as the script was ready, Vishal decided to cast Saif Ali Khan for the coveted role of Langda Tyaagi. Vishal feared in a lighthearted manner that this film might also get shelved due to Aamir and his creative differences from the past. The role of Langda Tyaagi played a big role in Saif Ali Khan's career. After enacting in this film, Saif broke his cute lover boy image and got praised in front of his critics too where from thereon they started taking him seriously.

Omkara1942 A LOVE STORY:

After the super success of 'Parinda', filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra decided to make an epic love-saga, which would be set on the backdrop of independence. Once the basic story line was drafted, they started hunting for the main lead role of 'Naren' in the film. Everyone settled down to Aamir Khan after watching his performances in films like QSQT and Raakh. Vidhu also agreed and narrated the script to Aamir, who eventually loved the script. As Vidhu wanted bulk dates immediately for the shooting, Aamir had to then decline the offer, since he was already committed to his next few films on the row. Aamir requested Vidhu to wait, but Vidhu decided to move on and signed Anil Kapoor instead.

1942 A LOVE STORY

Aamir was a diehard fan of R. D Burman who gave music to most of his Uncle Nasir Hussain's films, and also his father Tahir Hussain's few films including Aamir's films as a child-artist. As Aamir too was keen to work with R.D Burman, so losing out on '1942 A Love Story' was also a big personal loss for him.

SAAJAN:

'Andaz Apna Apna' has been the most favorite comedy film and everybody simply loved the comic combo of Aamir Khan and Salman Khan. However much before 'AAA', they both were meant to star in a musical love triangle film 'Saajan' along with Madhuri Dixit. This was going to be one of the biggest projects from the renowned producer Sudhakar Bokade's camp, with music composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. However as things started materializing, Aamir felt that people will see his handicap character only on melancholy level. He didn't wanted sympathy from his fans and thus decided to opt out from this project. The makers then approached Sanjay Dutt who was going through a changing phase of his life and thus readily agreed. With Sanjay in the team, the makers replaced veteran Laxmikant Pyarelal with Nadeem Sharavan, as they felt that the latter will add the much needed youth factor in the film. This decision worked and made a huge impact on the career graph of Sanjay Dutt and also on the graph of Nadeem Shravan.

SaajanDARR:

This is one such movie to which almost all die-hard fans of Aamir Khan regret till date. Aamir's decision for not doing 'Darr' gave his apparent on-screen archrival - Shah Rukh Khan - a direct pass in Yash Chopra's camp. Earlier Aamir bonded so well with Yash Chopra on the sets of 'Parampara' that Yash Chopra wanted to make many more films with the great actor, and thus the legendary filmmaker decided to take him in a negative role for his next venture - 'Darr', along with Juhi Chawla & Sunny Deol. Songs were recorded in Udit Narayan's voice suiting Aamir's style and the movie was just about to go on floors. However at that last moment, Aamir had some issues with the climax of the film. He refused to agree over the climax fight between Sunny and him in which he would be squashed by the hulk. Aamir thought that the climax should have a fair and equal fight, and demanded for a joint script narration along with Sunny. This annoyed Yash Chopra and he later replaced Aamir and signed Shah Rukh Khan in its place. Well the rest is history, and the movie became a launch-pad for Shah Rukh Khan, and a grand entry in Yash Raj Films.

Darr

Along with these top films, there were several others like S. Shankar's 'Nayak', Ashutosh Gowarikar's 'Swades', Shubash Ghai's 'Taal', Mansoor Khan's 'Josh' and many more. He was also signed along with yesteryear's actress Mumtaz for a film to be directed by Mahesh Bhatt. This film was based on a mother & son's relationship, which might have been the basic plotline of Ajay Devgan's National Award winning film 'Zakhm'.

So on this 48th birthday of 'Aamir Khan', we wish him eternal fame, glory and success. At the same time, we request him to sign at least two to three films a year because 'yeh dil maange more'.

Ajay Devgn

After the release of Sajid Khan's Himmatwala, Ajay Devgn is now the latest addition in the list. The actor has taken to dancing in the 'Himmatwala' remake, and simply failed to create an impact. In spite of his much effort, Ajay Devgn didn't come even minutely close to Jeetendra's unforgettable dance steps, which he showed in the original version.

Ajay Devgn

Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt can hardly move with those huge arms, and seeing him dance is not one of the best sights for viewers on the screen. Be it his recently released film 'Zila Ghaziabad' or his early 90s film 'Yalgaar' where he mistook karate steps for dance moves.

Sanjay DuttAnil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor might be entertaining and a phenomenal performer, but the actor just can't dance. Ever from the time when he was seen in his 'Ram Lakhan' days, to the recently released movie 'Race 2', Anil has time and again proved that he has only two left feet when it comes to dance.

Anil KapoorJohn Abraham

In spite of his good looks and six pack abs, actor John Abraham have apparently just failed to impress to dance on the screen. From his steps in 'Desi Boyz' to 'Race 2', the dancing seems too forceful.

John AbrahamEmraan Hashmi

Bollywood's serial kisser Emraan Hashmi can do bold scenes without a blink of the eye. However when it comes to dancing, it is not a good sight to see him shake a leg or two. He on the other hand manages to balance well in his songs, but is of course not a good dancer. We wonder, he would do wonder if the song is only meant to represent in a bold manner.

Emraan HashmiR Madhavan

Another addition in the list is actor R Madhavan. He is known for his great acting skills, but who can forget his unintentional hilarious dance moves in 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein', and also in the latest one 'Jodi Breakers'.

R MadhavanIrrfan Khan

Irrfan Khan is known for being a versatile actor and also a national award winner, but one thing he should definitely avoid is doing dancing. Seeing his moves to the song of 'Razia Gundo Mei' in 'Thank You', all we can say is that we would rather see him doing act than dance.

Irrfan KhanSunny Deol

Now who can forget our angry-man Sunny Deol. The actor takes the cake with his popular 'Yaara o Yaara' steps in 'Jeet', but he himself confirmed that he cannot dance on the screen. Well, hope that we don't get to see his dancing skills in any of his upcoming films.

Sunny DeolNana Patekar

Nana Patekar is the biggest competitor in the category in the company of his over the top dance moves. His moves in 'Fever song' and the latest in 'Welcome' simply proved that he should stay away from dance.

Nana PatekarAkshaye Khanna

Akshaye Khanna made a promising debut in 1997 with his film 'Himalay Putra' but his dance moves could not guarantee him a range of roles in commercial entertainers. He although proved his versatility in acting skills, but could not make a good impression in his dancing skills.

Kareena Kapoor

Kareena is known to be one of the boldest actresses among all her competitors when it comes to doing kissing and intimate scenes with other heroes, apart from her beau Saif Ali Khan. But as one would know, she also happens to be a star wife who feels the need to apparently check-on her husband during his shoots. We have noticed many-a-times that Kareena have travelled thousands of air miles on innumerable vacations with Saif, which also happen the same place where he is shooting with her co-actresses. Reportedly, she visited many time on the set of Saif and Deepika starrer films, because of their on-going sizzling chemistry on screen. Currently, Bebo is visiting Saif on the sets of his Ileana D'Cruz co-starrer film in the US.

Saif Ali KhanGenelia D'Souza

Genelia D'Souza

Genelia may have dated Riteish Deshmukh for years, but that didn't stop her from dropping by on the sets of his films. Although Riteish is not being involved in any extra-marital affair, but as he is mostly part of adult films, so had to perform some adult-rated films - be it Kya Super Kool Hai Hum or Grand Masti. The actress even carried dabbas (lunch-boxes) full of tasty dishes for her husband. We hope this tiffin's doesn't carry lots of ingredients of insecurities in them as well.

Riteish DeshmukhMaanyataMaanyata Dutt

From the time when he got hitched with Maanyata, actor Sanjay Dutt managed to keep a high-pitched clean image. However, Maanyata is also often spotted on her hubby's film set, but only to maintain Sanjay's diet. Well, she was not only known to keep a check on Sanjay's diet during his film schedules, but would also accompany him during outdoor foreign location shoot. In fact, it is being said that on the sets of Blue, a team of unit were given the responsibility to entertain and take care of Mrs Dutt. While we're on the subject, Sanjay Dutt was paired up with Lara Dutta in Blue, who both of them performed a steamy lovemaking scene in their previous movie Zinda.

Sanjay DuttAishwarya Rai BachchanAishwarya Rai

Whether it would be her brand endorsement held in foreign locations, gracing his presence at the fashionable derby races in the UK, or as well attending charity galas abroad, actor Abhishek Bachchan always had the company of his beloved wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on his side. Well, seems like something fishy is going on!

Abhishek BachchanMaria Goretti

Maria Goretti

Ever since Arshad Warsi was linked with his co-star Dia Mirza, his wife of many years, Maria apparently decided to take matters into her own hands. Arshad was also seen doing a passionate lip-lock scene with Vidya Balan in Ishqiya, and a raunchy lovemaking scene with Minissha Lamba in Zilla Ghaziabad recently. Well, after such incidents, Maria has now almost become a permanent company to Arshad at most of his public events, and as well as on his film sets. If truth be told, Arshad even once commented in a jokey mood about how possessive his wife is, and also how he would be thrown out if performed any intimate or lovemaking scenes in films. However, we hear that the actor will be again seen performing a kissing scene with co-actress Huma Qureshi in Dedh Ishqiya, which would be apparently even more raunchy than the previous one.
