The well acclaimed Bollywood industry has incorporated several films based on different genres, varying from comedy to action to adult prone, or be it with the highly inspirational biopic attempts. Zindagi 50-50Directed by Rajiv Ruia, Zindagi 50-50 is a bold flick that revolves around three common women who struggle every possible way, to achieve their aspired dreams. Starring Veena Malik, Riya Sen, Rajan Verma, Arya Shah, Rajpal Yadav and others, the film released on the 24th of May, 2013.
The film had quite few kissing and intimate scenes, especially the extended lovemaking sequence between Veena and Rajan, where the actress had also apparently gone topless. Earlier it was also in news that an uncut video of this was being leaked out before the release of movie.
However, coming to its box-office perception, Zindagi 50-50 was critically slammed for its highly depressing execution on a wholesome.
SixteenDirected by Raj Purohit, Sixteen is a film that revolves around four teenagers with their respective loves, heartbreaks, dreams and damages of their lives. Starring Izabelle Leite, Keith Sequeira, Wamiqa Gabbi, Mahak Manwani, Highphill in lead roles the film released on 12th of July 2013.
Although the film didn't had any direct kissing scenes, but was quite bold in terms of subject and screenplay. It showed the juveniles, sixteen years of boys and girls, having sexual intercourse, excitement about losing virginity, kissing in open areas, and much more related to this.
Counting its box-office scores, 'Sixteen' received a healthy response from critics, but unfortunately failed at the box office.
B.A. PassDirected by Ajay Bahl, B.A. Pass is a neo-noir film inspired from 2009 short story, The Railway Aunty by Mohan Sikka. Starring Shilpa Shukla, Shadab Kamal, Rajesh Sharma, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya in lead roles, the film released on 30th of August 2013.
The movie had number of kissing and sex-scenes, which was quite bold ever shown in the history of Bollywood. It featured many prominent sex-angles which were carried out between elder boy and older woman, along with extra-marital affairs and many more things like that. However, the lovemaking scenes were shot very aesthetically according to the storyline.
In terms of its box office perceptions, B.A. Pass garnered an average score at the box-office, but received praises from critics.
NashaDirected by Amit Saxena, Nasha is a teen coming-of-age film that narrates the story of an 18-year-old boy falling in love with a 25-year-old girl. Starring the sexy siren Poonam Pandey, along with Shivam Patil in lead, the film released on the 26th of July, 2013.
Although the film had minimal bold sequences and mainly showcased the key plot, but the screenplay subject was quite bold as student romancing teacher, older guy seduces to teenager girl, and so on.
In terms of critical perception, Nasha faced a lot of controversies with its film posters before its release. However, post the release, the film gained mixed reviews with an average lasting at the screens.
Grand MastiDirected by Indra Kumar, Grand Masti is an adult comedy sequel to 2004 film Masti. Starring Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles, the film released on the 13th of September 2013.
It was completely an adult based film, from start to end, where the makers not only projected a bold subject, but also it was filled with pure double meaning dialogues, action, sequences. Interesting, it had no kissing or bikini scenes.
In terms of box-office scores, Grand Masti received mostly negative responses from the critics but was highly acceptable from the mango people. The film marked a milestone by crowning to be one of the biggest box-office openers on the first day of its release, along with soon entering into the coveted club of Rs. 100 crore.
