Dedh IshqiyaComing first is Dedh Ishqiya, which is a sequel to Abhishek Chaubey's 2011 film Ishqiya. Starring Madhuri Dixit, Huma Qureshi, Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi in lead roles, this second edition carry forwards the previous story with some added twist, suspense and comical thrill lasting till the end. While Madhuri plays Begum Para, Arshad and Naseeruddin retain their previous characters of Babban and Iftekhar respectively.
Shaadi Ke Side EffectsThe sequel to 2006 film Pyaar Ke Side Effects counts second on to the list. While the initial part had Mallika Sherawat and Rahul Bose an unusual leads, the sequel titled Shaadi Ke Side Effects has a promising cast of Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan. Directed by Saket Chaudhary, this second edition will trend the story further and highlight the pros and cons of being married!
Hate Story 22012 film Hate Story's sequel comes up next. Directed by Vishal Pandya, Hate Story 2 is believed to retain its thrill and eroticism. However, this second edition of Bhatt clan has further incorporated a new cast on board namely - Sushant Singh, Surveen Chawla and Jay Bhanushali.
Ragini MMS 2Next is, Ragini MMS 2. Directed by Bhushan Patel, this sequel will continue from the climax scene that was left in the first edition. Singham 2Next is the much-awaited 'Singham 2'. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the sequel will retain Ajay Devgn as the main lead. However, unlike the first edition that had Ajay leading his cop duties in a small town, Singham 2 will narrate a city-cop story and trend the movie further.
Bhootnath ReturnsBhootnath Returns is next on the list. Ghayal ReturnsNext is Ghayal Returns. Sunny Deol will be seen returning to direction after a gap of over 14 years with this sequel to 1990 film Ghayal. The film is about a father-daughter relationship and has Sunny playing the father in it. Written by Shaktimaan, who also wrote Gadar, this film further has Om Puri and Prakash Raj as leads.
1920 LondonThe third installment of yet another Vikram Bhatt's film 1920, counts to be next. Titled 1920 London, this sequel introduces Priyanka Chopra's cousin Meera Chopra alongside Sharman Joshi as the film's leads. 1920 London promises to offer more of haunts and thrills, in comparison to all its prequels.
Welcome BackAnd lastly, Anees Bazmee's Welcome Back draws an end to this sequel tour. Marking to be the second edition of 2007 hit film Welcome, Welcome Back is believed to continue with its comical tour by retaining star leads Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal and Anil Kapoor from its prequel. However, the film has further boarded a new set of star leads that include John Abraham, Shruti Haasan, and Amitabh Bachchan in their respective roles.
