A very simple story by Gulzar saab, we have Ravi (playing by Jeetendra) who is seen taking tuitions of the five grandchildren of renowned entrepreneur Rai Saheb (played by Pran) in the film Parichay. The mischievous and disobedient kids make their finest attempt to get rid away from the professor. However, Ravi wins them over and as well brings a transformation in their naughty behaviour.

Pramod Sharma (played by Vinod Khanna) is an unrealistic and optimistic professor, who takes a hard-hitting responsibility to make a transformation among a group of unruly college students. Madhu (played by actress Tanuja), who is the daughter of college principal, portrays the role of Pramod's love interest in the film.

Raj Aryan Malhotra (played by Shah Rukh Khan) doesn't much believe in the system of belief and thus persuades his students to just follow their faithful heart.
